| Welcome to the Humanities Research Group The Humanities Research Group seeks to generate, enliven, and disseminate research, scholarship, and creative activity in the arts, human sciences, and related disciplines by both new and established scholars; to support and promote interdisciplinary study in the human sciences; to create and sustain a culture of inquiry that transcends disciplinary and departmental boundaries by fostering collegial dialogue, informed debate, and the pursuit of new areas of inquiry; and to communicate with the university and the public in ways that enhance the reputation of the arts, human sciences, and the university. In fulfilling these aims, the Humanities Research Group acts as a liaison among faculty, graduate and undergraduate students, the campus community, and the public. It maintains a number of programs — lecture series, colloquia, fellowships — which bring scholars to campus and assist local faculty in their scholarly and creative inquiry. | |
