The goal of this part of Windsor International is to increase the involvement in international and development activities by the faculty, staff and students of the University of Windsor. The purpose is: (1) to promote alertness to possible opportunities for new, international and development projects and (2) to assist interested parties in the early stages of the project cycle, where appropriate. Activities in support of these objectives are:
to provide information on organizations that fund international and development projects and coordinate volunteer efforts (Start),
to contribute to the flow of ideas in the early stages of contact with possible funding sources and concept formulation in funding proposals,
to make available sources of information for critical assumptions (risk analysis) in the design of international and development projects (Risks),
to foster cooperation in international and development activities through the formation of multidisciplinary project teams within the University,
to increase public awareness of sustainability success stories from international and development projects, carried out by University personnel (Projects), and
to hold related dialogues with interested parties in the University, funding and volunteer agencies, prospective partner organizations, and the local community.
The three themes, flagged above within the activity sets, are addressed, with reference to Internet links. In general, the Web sites selected also list numerous, additional links.
