MASTER OF SOCIAL WORK PROGRAMS

The University of Windsor offers excellent graduate programs geared towards students seeking advanced professional knowledge and skills. As well, we are home to one of the only combined MSW and Law degree programs in the country. In Fall 2010, our innovative PhD in Social Work will commence. Founded on civic engagement, graduates will be well prepared to assume leadership roles in higher education, research, and practice.

Graduate Programs are as follows:
  • Advanced Standing MSW program - a one-year program offered for students with an honours BSW degree from a Canadian Association of Schools of Social Work accredited or recognized equivalency program.
  • Regular Track MSW program a two-year program of full-time study for students with a four-year honours degree in a related social science discipline or helping profession.
  • Off-campus MSW For Working Professionals offered in Peel Region in partnership with Sheridan College and Barrie/Huronia in partnership with Georgian College. For more information contact the Centre for Executive Education by phone 519-256-3113 or toll free at 1-866-419-0685;
  • Dual MSW/LLB degree starting Fall Semester 2009.
  • PhD in Social Work commencing Fall Semester 2010

All MSW programs are fully accredited by the Canadian Association of Schools of Social Work. Graduates are eligible for membership in the Ontario Association of Social Workers, the Canadian Association of Social Workers and are eligible to apply for registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.
