BUILDING ASSIGNMENTS
Secondary/International Student Applicants
All secondary/international applicants who submit a complete application (including $500.00 deposit) by May 28, 2010 will be guaranteed a bed in residence, provided that they have received an offer of admission from the University of Windsor.
Beds will be assigned as follows:
- Alumni and Cartier Hall room assignments are based on the GPA at the time of room assignment, which we receive from the Registrar's Office
- Laurier and Macdonald Hall room assignments are based on their application preferences
- Students who require special accommodations must complete the following, Assessing Needs Form, Medical Form and Consent Form to provide further documentation.
Returning Students and Upper Year Students may request to live in the building which best suits their individual preferences.
- Students should review the Accommodation Preference guide before indicating their first and second choice on the Request for Residence.
- If a student has a particular room or unit in mind this should be noted.
- The University cannot guarantee that all requests will be accommodated and unless otherwise instructed will substitute should the space requested not be available.
Single rooms are limited and will be assigned as follows:
Returning Students
Returning students who have lived in a single room will be placed in a single room in Alumni Hall, Electa Hall or Clark Residence as long as they have submitted their application and deposit by February 8, 2010, meet the building criteria and availability.
- The remaining requests for single accommodation will be allocated based on the student's building preference and availability.
Upper Year Students
- Upper Year students who meet the building criteria will be assigned a single room on a first come first served basis.
- If a single room is not available, students will be assigned double accommodation unless noted on the Residence Application.
- Students who request single accommodation and are not willing to accept double accommodation will be placed on a waiting list.
- Building assignments will be confirmed once a room is assigned.
- The University reserves the right to give students with special needs priority, if necessary.
