| Community Services Unit/Crime Prevention. This unit of Campus Community Police was established in August, 2003. The unit's role is to pro-actively interact with the community to raise awareness of public safety issues and crime prevention. This is facilitated by a direct and constant liaison with the community. The delivery of public safety programs, education resources as well as a participatory role with the Campus Police- Community Advisory Committee (CP-CAC) ensures the Community Services Unit's mandate of public service at the highest level. The Unit is staffed by a Special Constable certified as a Crime Prevention Specialist through the American Crime Prevention Institute in Louisville, Kentucky. Campus Community Police's Crime Prevention Unit is at the forefront of providing first rate and up-to-date crime prevention programming to the community.
