Full Day Option Only: This consists of both disciplines, athletes do both beach volleyball and indoor volleyball. Parents will have to make arrangements for their sons/daughters to have lunch.
Indoor Location/Beach Location: St. Denis Centre, University of Windsor - Use East Entrance.
** New Beach Courts being developed in behind the St. Denis Centre Athletic Complex

LANCER "Elite Developmental" Volleyball Camp ***This is NOT for the recreational volleyball player, primary focus is club athletes.
Full Day Camp Only: 9:00am - 12:00pm and 1:00pm - 3:30pm.
Both Age Divisions: 13-14 and 15-16
All sessions will be hosted at the University of Windsor St. Denis Centre.
Cost:
- Early Bird Registration (Prior to June 1st, 2010): $150
- Registration (Post June 1st, 2010): $175
- August 14th Beach Tournament Registraton: $25/Athlete

Lancer Volleyball Summer Camp Coaching Information
Windsor Lancers Women's Volleyball Head Coach - Marilyn Douglas
Marilyn Douglas enters her 8th season as the Head Coach of the Lancer Women's Volleyball program. She comes to the Lancers from the Saskatchewan Volleyball Association, where she was the High Performance Co-ordinator and Executive Director.
Douglas led the Lancer Women's Volleyball team to their FIRST EVER OUA Women's Volleyball Championship in league history in 2005 -06. Her accomplishments were recognized as she was named the Fox 40 OUA Female Coach of the Year, and the recipient of the Gino Fracas Award for the second straight year as the WIndsor Lancers Coach of the Year.
A level 4 N.C.C.P. coach, Douglas has coached at the club, varsity and international levels. Highlights include a four year stint as head coach with the Regina Radz Midget (club) team and a year as head coach of the Saskatchewan Juvenile Women’s Provincial team.
She also spent two seasons as an assistant with the University of Regina Cougars and as well as five years with the Saskatchewan Volleyball Association.
In 1999, Marilyn served as an apprentice coach with the Canadian National Senior Women’s team at the Pan Am Games in Winnipeg. Douglas continued her National team involvement over the next several years as an assistant with the Junior & Senior National Team, and the FISU team. Most recently Douglas lent her expertise to Team Ontario Women’s program this summer where they captured the Gold Medal at the Canada Games in Regina, Saskatchewan.
Frequently Asked Questions
1) What should your campers bring to your camp?
Shorts, long sleeve and short sleeve t-shirts, shoes, socks and knee pads. Non refridgerated lunch. (Absolutely no peanut products Please)
2) What do you do when it rains (outside sports)?
If it rains during outdoor play, athletes will move inside to the sand courts.
3) How many counsellors do you have in each group/session/per participant?
There will be 1 instructors per group of 10 athletes.
4) Do the counsellors have experience working with children?
All instructors have generally played club volleyball, university and/or beyond. They also are certified in both disciplines at Level 1 Technical.
5) How do you divide the participants into groups?
Groups are as per advertised, though during camp they may be split into position specific groups, e.g. left side attackers, middles, setters, etc
6) How competitive is the camp?
The focus of all camps is for athletes endeavouring to pursue volleyball at a competitive level, this includes travel for athletes age 10+. Information will be provided to all athletes at camp for opportunities in the Windsor-Essex Community. Those athletes seeking volleyball at the recreational level should register for the Campus Recreation Multi-Sport Summer Camp.
7) What are the requirement to be a counsellor?
Requirements to be an instructor are Level 1 certification, generally current or former Lancer Volleyball athlete, and others as invited by Coach Douglas.
8) What is the beach volleyball component
Beach Volleyball Component has changed to a daily 1/2 day session, to allow athletes to do both the indoor and outdoor component if they choose. The beach instruction takes place at Sandcastle Recreation at 3901 Huron Church (Todd Lane).
9) Drop Offs/Pick Ups: Parents are responsible for both the drop off and pick up of their children for both the indoor and outdoor camps. Please be aware that these are two SEPARATE camps and instructors for each may or may not be the same.
