Faculty Needs: Faculty of Human Kinetics
1. Endowed Chair in Women's Sport
Human Kinetics is undertaking a $5-million endowment goal to establish an Endowed Chair in Women's Sport under a new National Institute for Girls and Women in Sport, Recreation & Physical Activity. The first of it's kind in Canada, the purpose of this initiative will be to demonstrate progressive leadership in gender specific research, to influence systematic cultural change within sport organizations through education and advocacy and to provide national leadership and expertise to the public and media.

2. Program Needs
The ongoing needs of Kinesiology, Lancer Athletic Teams and Campus Recreation continue to be pressing. Financial gifts play a large role in the ongoing success of these programs by providing funds for athlete recruitment, equipment and other projects. We encourage you to support these programs through our annual phone-a-thon, but to also remember that your donations are needed year round.

3. Scholarships – Need and Academic Merit
Endowments, scholarships and bursaries are a necessity for today’s students who might not be able to continue their studies otherwise. Providing need and academic merit financial awards is a vital part of the Faculty of Human Kinetics commitment to maintaining it’s strong national academic reputation by attracting the brightest students.
