Study with the NSERC/FORD/University of Windsor Industrial Research Chair (IRC) in Light Metals Casting Technology


The IRC is a research group at the University of Windsor that is funded jointly by NSERC, a government granting agency and the Ford Motor Company. The group specializes in aluminum alloy development, casting processes and on-line sensors. Its aim is to provide world-class research in aluminum casting technology, a field crucial to the automotive industry which is committed to reducing energy use and pollution.Exchange students joining the IRC have the opportunity to work on senior projects, M.A.Sc. theses and Ph.D. dissertations. There is also the opportunity for undergraduate and postdoctoral study and research. The IRC offers a wide range of unique benefits for students in the lights metals casting field.
