Personal Statement and Research
The Canada Research Chair is devoted to the social and cultural history of international health in the Americas, with case studies in Canada, Cuba, Brazil, and Costa Rica. I am looking at the way ethnicity influenced the nature of health communication during epidemics in the twentieth century.

Students interested in pursuing a Master’s degree in History or on a health-related topic in the social sciences at the University of Windsor should contact Professor Palmer to inquire about research opportunities.

Dr. Palmer is the co-creator and co-writer with Ed Riche and Mack Furlong of The Great Eastern (CBC Radio, 1994-1999)
