Windsor Law to Host Innovation Gallery

Windsor Law will be co-hosting the first-ever Innovation Gallery at the Ron W. Ianni Law Building on Monday, May 10 from 7 - 9 p.m. as part of the Program of the Joint Conference of the Canadian Association of Law Libraries and the Michigan Association of Law Libraries which runs from May 9 - 12, 2010 at Caesar's Windsor. In addition to co-hosting the Innovation Gallery with Canada Law Book, Windsor Law is proud to be a Bronze sponsor of this year's Conference.

Over 250 delegates from Canada, Michigan and other U.S. States as well as the United Kingdom, Australia, and Europe are attending the Conference.

Ms. Annette Demers, Reference Librarian at the Paul Martin Law Library at the University of Windsor, chairs the 2010 Conference Planning Committee. The Conference provides some very interesting and timely programming in the area of law and legal information, as well as exciting social events and local tours. For full program and details about how to register for this conference, please visit:

What is the Innovation Gallery? The Conference Program describes it as follows: "Is it the 'Cool Stuff'? Is it a library poster session on steroids? Is it speed dating for librarians? Picture a building full of rooms in which the latest innovations of our profession are presented in a high-tech digital environment simultaneously. Eight of our talented CALL/ACBD/MichALL members who have taken part in innovative projects will present their work to small groups of people for short presentations. The audience will circulate between presentations throughout the evening."

This event will be preceded by a hors d'oeuvres and cocktail reception, generously co-sponsored by Windsor Law and Canada Law Book.
