Abstract (100 words or less):
The MathOptimizer Professional (MOP) software package combines the model development features of the computing system Mathematica with the external LGO solver suite for nonlinear (global and local) optimization. This results in enhanced overall capabilities, with a solver performance that is comparable to 'pure' compiler-based implementations. We review the key features of MOP, and demonstrate its usage by solving various packing models.
