Abstract (100 words or less):
An analytic center cutting plane method is an iterative algorithm based on the computation of analytic centers. In this study, we introduce the new concept of the normal region. We propose some analytic center cutting plane methods for solving psudomonotone or quasimonotone variational inequalities whose domains are normal regions. Our approach can be used to extend many interior methods for optimization problems over polyhedral feasible sets. Moreover, we also apply the new concept and the proposed algorithms to economic equilibrium problems.
