Abstract (100 words or less): | | SeDuMi is a Matlab Toolbox for optimization over symmetric cones, this includes nonnegative variables, second-order cones, and semidefinite matrices. Following the tragic death of Jos Sturm, the Advanced Optimization Lab at McMaster University took over the development of the SeDuMi package in 2004 and the first new version was released in May 2005. This talk summarizes the new features and improvements as well as our future plans. Our major topics are preprocessing, starting-point selection, sparse/dense issues and adaptive heuristics. Numerical experiments showing the effect of these techniques are also presented. |
