WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO IF I'M ACCEPTED TO THE PROGRAM?
- 40 hours of volunteer work in a non-profit organization
- reflect on your experience through journals and small assignments
- participate in career development workshops and activities
WHAT DO I GET OUT OF IT?
- work related experience before graduation
- recognition on your U of W transcript
- a chance to network with professionals and obtain references
- a boost to your resume
WHERE WOULD I VOLUNTEER?
At one of the 100+ not-for-profit organizations in Windsor & Essex County that post volunteer opportunities with VIP. Examples of past VIP job titles include:
Administration Clerk -- Communications Assistant -- Marketing Assistant -- Residential Counsellor -- Constituency Assistant -- Volunteer Coordinator -- Literacy Tutor -- Hospital Volunteer -- Teaching Assistant -- Website Administrator
