Students Feeding Students
Ceremony
Student Hunger is a growing issue. This can be demonstrated through the rising tuition costs. Ontario students' tuition fees are the second highest in Canada (dropfees.ca). Add this to a student unemployment rate of 21% (dropfees.ca) and most students are hard pinched to afford school, not to mention food.
This is why we are having a FOOD DRIVE on Saturday March 20th from 8am until 3pm at the METRO (Huron Church and Tecumseh W)
All proceeds are going back to the North Campus Food Bank located at Iona College. This food bank provides food for any registered part- or full-time student. They also offer toonie dinners on Mondays and Thursdays to students. They are the closest food bank to campus for students.
Let's all help make sure no student goes hungry for Easter this year!!
