Students organize race for compassionate cancer care

Kinesiology students are mounting an event on campus this weekend to raise money for a local charity dedicated to providing cancer patients and their families a comfortable and compassionate hospital setting.
The Amazing Race 4 Life is based on the similarly-named television show and will benefit Transition to Betterness. It is being organized by students in profesor Jess Dixon's class in event management.
The event will run 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. this Saturday, March 20, and is open to all comers. It offers a variety of prizes, including a grand prize of $300 for the winning team.
Registration as individuals or in teams of three is due no later than Thursday; the cost is $15 per person. For details or registration forms, e-mail amazingrace4life@gmail.com. |
