LANCER SPORTS NEWSthe Touchdown Club Launch

Lancer Football

Introduces
Touchdown Club
.
The Touchdown Club is a new alumni booster club aimed at building support and resources for the football program.

“The funds generated through the Touchdown Club will allow us to pursue bursaries, better equipment and team apparel,” says HeadCoach Mike Morencie BA ’99. The club will provide financial support and resources players would otherwise not have.

Fundraising kicked off with an Adopt-A-Lancer - for $300, you can adopt a Lancer Football player for the season and become a member of the Touchdown Club. The donor receives tickets to the football games, to the Lancer Football banquet, a photo plaque of their player, and a Lancer All-Sport season pass.

The Touchdown Club hosted its first event on Sept. 24 - a tailgate party paying tribute to former Lancer assistant coach Morgan Clark BA ’69, MEd ’75 for his induction into the University of Windsor Alumni Sports Hall of Fame. Following the Windsor-Toronto game, a post-game reception presented Lancer Captain Arjei Franklin with a plaque to recognize his new Lancer all-time record for career touchdown receptions, set on opening day.

To join the Touchdown Club, or for more information, please contact Mike Morencie at (519) 253-3000, Ext. 2462 or Touchdown Club President Craig Mallender BComm ’82 at (519) 258-3129.
