MAJOR ACQUISITIONS POLICY

The "Major Acquisition Policy" was passed by the Board of Governors in October 2003. Acquisitions of goods or services involving the total cumulative commitment of $100,000 or more shall be deemed as major and must follow the procedures outlined in this policy. Please contact Purchasing Services as soon as there is an identified need that would fall in this category for guidance on how to proceed. This policy does not include construction or renovation projects- these are handled by Physical Plant - nor does it apply if the major acquisition has met the sole source procurement criteria and been approved by the Purchasing Services area.
