Honours Physics and High Technology (Medical Physics) - Co-op Option

The Co-operative Education Program offers students the opportunity to combine their classroom experiences with related work experiences. Students who apply and are accepted to the Co-operative Education Program must successfully complete three paid work experiences interspersed throughout the four-year Honours program. The experience gained while participating in theses structured and supervised work placements is viewed as an integral component of the student's educational program.

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS

Physics and High Technology Co-op students must maintain full-time academic status and satisfy the following:
(a) Must maintain a minimum cumulative average of 6.0, and;
(b) Must maintain a minimum major average of 8.0, and;
(c) Must not have more than one outstanding F on their transcript.

Second Year: ten courses, including 64-220, 64-250, 60-106 or one option, 62-215, 59-230, 64-222, 64-320, 59-261, 62-216, 62-318, followed by a summer Co-op work term (oral and written reports required)..

Third Year: five fall courses, including 64-323, 59-240, 64-350, 88-217, 62-360, winter Co-op work term (oral and written reports required); five summer courses including 64-310, 60-106 or one option, 64-484, 64-370, one option.

Fourth Year: fall co-op work term (oral and written reports required), five winter courses, including 64-311, 64-460, 64-431, 64-464, one option; five summer courses including 64-450, 64-496, 64-470 or 64-471, two options.
