Dr. Lisa Porter is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences here at the University of Windsor. Her research is focused on elucidating the novel mechanisms that regulate the mammalian cell cycle. In our lab, a dedicated team of graduate and undergraduate students employ advanced tissue culture techniques and animal models in order to study the implications that these pathways can have, not only in breast cancer, but also in brain cancer.
The main focus of our lab is to study Spy1, a cell cycle protein, and its role in oncogenesis. For more information about these topics, please visit the Research page.
