HISTORY
General History
Total courses:
thirty.
Major requirements:
twelve courses, consisting of:
(a) two 100-level courses;
(b)
43-200 and 43-302;
(c) five additional courses at the 200 level or above;
(d) three more courses at the 300 level or above.
Option requirements:
six courses including
(a) two courses from Arts;
(b) two courses from Languages or Science;
(c) two courses from any area of study, excluding Social Sciences.
Other requirements:
(a) four courses from any area of study, including History, but of which only one may be an additional 100-level History course;
(b) eight courses from any area of study, excluding History.
Up to four of the following courses may be used to satisfy the Major requirements for any History degree:
12-262, 12-263, 12-271, 12-272, 24-130, 24-230, 40-240, 40-241, 95-240, 01-252.
(Please note, instructor's permission may be required.) No more than one of this list may be used to satisfy the requirements for a Minor in History.
