VISUAL ARTS / COMMUNICATION STUDIES
BA Honours in Visual Arts and Communication Studies
Total courses:
forty.
Major requirements-Visual Arts:
seventeen courses, consisting of
27-105, 27-106, and 27-107, plus eleven other studio courses numbered 27-203 through 27-390 (at least four courses must be at the 300 level), plus 28-150, 28-214, and 28-215.
Major requirements-Communication Studies:
sixteen courses including 40-101,
40-234, 40-275, 40-300, plus one of 40-202, or 40-225, or 40-257,
plus eleven additional courses, at least three of which must be at the 300 or 400 level, and at least two of those must be at the 400 level.
Other requirements:
(a) 01-150, 01-151**;
(b) two courses from Languages or Science;
(c) three courses from any area of study, excluding Visual Arts and Communication Studies.
**Students who have completed a minimum of twenty semester courses prior to Fall 2008 are not required to take 01-150 and 01-151. Such students, who opt not to take 01-150 and 01-151, will be required to substitute any two courses from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, for which they are eligible.
