Total courses:
forty.
Major requirements:
nineteen courses, including
45-100, 45-130, 45-160, and 45-275; and two of 45-201, 45-211, 45-212, 45-213, 45-220, 45-309, 45-313, 45-314 and 45-321; plus 45-251 and 45-252; and two of 45-232, 45-237, 45-241, 45-244, 45-346, and 45-365; plus two of 45-264, 45-268, 45-360, 45-361, 45-363, and 45-367;
seven additional courses, five of which must be at the 300-400 level (and three of those five at the 400 level).
Option requirements:
six courses including
(a) two courses from Arts;
(b) two courses from Languages or Science;
(c) two courses from any area of study, excluding Social Sciences.
Other requirements:
(a)
01-150, 01-151**:
(b) 02-250, 41-110, and 41-111;
(c) six courses from Sociology, Anthropology, Communication Studies, History and Psychology;
(d) four courses from any area of study, including Political Science. (At least two of 41-231, 41-232 and 41-283 are strongly recommended.)
**Students who have completed a minimum of twenty semester courses prior to Fall 2008 are not required to take 01-150 and 01-151. Such students, who opt not to take 01-150 and 01-151, will be required to substitute any two courses from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, for which they are eligible.
