Combined Honours Language and Logic
Note: No new students will be admitted as of Fall 2010.
Program Regulation:
Students in combined programs must complete the major requirements for both subject areas, and 01-150 and 01-151. They must also complete the
Option requirements
, in the order presented, followed by any additional requirements under
Other requirements
, to a total of forty courses.
Example
: If the total course requirements add up to 43 once the major requirements for the second subject area are included, then section (c) of the

and one course from section (b) of the
Option requirements
should be excluded from the degree requirements.

fifteen courses, including:
(a)
07-120, 07-220, 34-160, 34-260, 34-262, 34-360, 60-104;
(b) two non-English language courses above the OAC level or its equivalent, e.g.,

French, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Latin, Ojibwe, Spanish;
(c) six of 24-210, 26-290, 26-291, 29-230*, 29-231*, 29-330*, 29-332*, 29-431*, 29-434*, 34-261, 40-101, 40-202, 40-250, 40-275, 53-270.
*Courses taught in French; the prerequisites for these courses are 29-121, 29-122 or permission of the instructor. These two language courses can be taken to fulfil major requirement (b).
Major requirements-Other Subject:

(a) two courses from Social Sciences;
(b) two courses from Arts or Science;
(b) two courses from any area of study, excluding Arts.
